- <p> DIED. Donald ("Pee Wee") Gaskins, 58, convicted murderer who
- last week became the first white man in the U.S. to die for
- killing a black since the death penalty was upheld in 1976; of
- electrocution; in Columbia, S.C. In 1982 Gaskins was hired to
- kill a fellow inmate, murderer Rudolph Tyner, which he
- accomplished by giving his victim a bomb disguised as a radio.
